Members of the Golden Oldies recently enjoyed an uplifting Women’s Day gathering featuring beauty queen Bianca Birnie as the guest speaker.
The Golden Oldies is a social group for pensioners over 55 who meet every Thursday at the Methodist Church at the corner of Park Street and Northdene Avenue.
In the week leading up to Women’s Day, the group celebrated with a special talk given by Birnie, on the topic “Who am I?”, followed by a light lunch.
