Village of Hope continued its community outreach in the Mgongo informal settlement (Old Location) on August 4, where more than 150 community members were provided with a meal and sweet treats.

The outreach forms part of the Brakpan-based non-profit organisation’s ongoing commitment to supporting orphaned and vulnerable children and families through feeding programmes, mentorship, and social development initiatives.

Village of Hope is also preparing for its upcoming Walk a Mile Drive, which will take place on August 13 in the settlement.

As part of the initiative, learners will receive school shoes and clothing to support them in attending school with dignity and confidence.

The drive is made possible through the generous support of Pick n Pay Mall@Carnival, Thandimfundo Learning Academy, and Logan Naina from Rise Against Hunger under the Inner Voice Foundation.
