  The Just Wheels Club is hosting an open day from 09:00. Car enthusiasts and visitors can look forward to an exciting showcase of cars, along with food stalls, children’s entertainment and a flea market. Visitors are encouraged to bring donations of dog and cat food in support of the local SPCA. The Just Wheels Club is located at 169 Kitzinger Avenue in Dalview.

  Die NG Kerk, Brakpan te Victorialaan 73 bied aan, Seisoene van die lewe met die gasspreker, Melinda Viljoen. Koffie of tee en ‘n ligte middagete is by die prys van die kaartjie ingesluit. • September 24
  The Fly-in & Empower Her Charity 5km fun run will take place at Brakpan Airfield, bringing together families, aviation enthusiasts and fitness lovers for a day of fun while supporting La Belle Empower Her. Visitors can enjoy aircraft displays, helicopter appearances, live entertainment, food stalls and family activities. Gates open at 07:00, with the fun run starting at 08:00. Entries are available via iTickets.

  Die Kerk van God van Profesie, Emmanuel Bediening, geleë te 26 Hamiltonlaan, Brakpan hou ‘n markdag en gemeenskapsuitreiking vanaf 9:00 tot14:00. Die toegang is gratis en die Emmanuel Bediening se liefdadigheidstalletjie sal ook bedrywig wees. Daar gaan ook verskeie kos stalletjies, prettighede en ander gebeurlikhede wees.

  Juava Pet Food, in partnership with Sweet Basil Catering, is hosting a golf day in support of Tweedy Park Old Age Home to raise funds for a much-needed security upgrade. Registration starts at 10:00, with the shotgun starting at 11:15, in a better-ball scramble format. A four-ball includes two golf carts, goodie bags, prize-giving and dinner. • The Golden Oldies Social Club meets every Thursday from 08:30 to 11:30 at the Brakpan Methodist Church, corner of Park Street and Northdene Avenue. Open to anyone over 55 with spare time. The club does various crafts, plays board games and is planning a breakfast outing this year. For more information, contact Ursula Edwards on 082 491 6217.
• Brakpan parkrun is open every Saturday at 07:50 at the Brakpan Sports Centre (opposite the library). Runners, walkers and volunteers are welcome. It is free; bring your running tag/barcode. You run, walk or jog at your own pace.
