WATCH: Local shelter teaches learners about exotic pet care

The rescue shelter puts on shows to raise awareness as well as funds, allowing them to save countless neglected exotic pets.

A local exotic pet rescue and shelter visited ExED Private School on April 10. The shelter puts on these shows to raise awareness among schoolchildren about the level of care exotic pets require.

Additionally, the shows provide much-needed funding to the shelter for the animals in their care and to help them save neglected exotic pets.

After the talk by Shelldene Louw, assisted by Shephard Ndou, children took turns interacting with some of the more sociable exotic pets, such as a snake, rabbits, and an iguana.
