Townsview Primary hosts Prize giving ceremony

Learners sat excitedly in the school hall waiting to for their turn to be awarded.

TOWNSVIEW: November 12 saw Townsview Primary School holding their annual Grade 6 and 7 prize giving ceremony to the privilege of their learners and excitement of their parents.

“We’re here to applaud the great achievements of our learners. Our sincere thanks go to the parents for supporting their children,” said the school’s Principal, Mrs Esterhuizen.

The ceremony was started with a choral verse by Grade 6 and 7 pupils who gave a hilarious performance on how to give your teacher a tough time; a performance which was enjoyed by the audience.

Honours were given by Ms Johnson and other grade teachers to top achievers, the most improved learners and to those pupils who have been doing well throughout their years in the school, giving them certificates and trophies for their achievements.

Parents and teachers snapped photos of their little ones and clapped with pride as each child received an award in the academic, sporting and cultural categories.
