Busted

THREE suspects were busted in East Road, The Hill, after allegedly hijacking a truck in Jeppe on Wednesday, January 6.

The Booysens SAPS Communications Officer, Warrant Officer Lorraine van Emmerik, reported that a security company traced the truck from the Jeppe policing area to The Hill, with back-up from the Rapid Response Unit and the K9 Unit.

After realising they had been spotted, the fourth suspect fired shots at the police and then fled the scene, leaving his accomplices to take the fall.

Moffatview SAPS will open a case of possession of stolen vehicle, while Jeppe SAPS have opened a case hijacking.
