A cleaner South

“Tarin expressed an interest in going out with the team to clean-up parts of the ‘new’ South so of course we welcomed her on board,” said Nicky Vakaloudis, CEO of SOJO.

THE SOJO Business and Tourism team were out last week with one of the Miss Earth’s regional semi-finalists, Tarin Maleking, a resident of Aspen Hills.

“Tarin expressed an interest in going out with the team to clean-up parts of the ‘new’ South so of course we welcomed her on board,” said Nicky Vakaloudis, CEO of SOJO.

At 08:00 sharp on a chilly morning, they began to pick up litter and rubbish from outside Mall of the South and from there went on to the outside of Rietvlei Zoo Farm. Other areas were also addressed throughout the morning.

“It was different to my normal morning I have to say, but it felt good to see the bags full of litter we had picked up,” said Tarin.
