A GRADE 12 learner from St Martin’s School scooped the 11th position out of more than 6 400 entries countrywide at the De Beers English Olympiad ceremony recently held in Grahamstown.
Olwethu Sigwela was also in the top one per cent of learners who wrote the SAT exams worldwide which is a standardised test widely used for college admissions in the United States.
SAT exams are written by learners from across the globe wishing entry into universities in the United States.
The school praised Olwethu’s performance saying his achievements had made the school proud.
