Marist Brothers Linmeyer High School celebrated Ash Wednesday on February 17.
Each learner received a prayer card and a candle was lit in every classroom during the Ash Wednesday service through the school intercom.
There were liturgy readings by staff and learners during the intercom service.
Learners were encouraged to repent and show a willingness to change over the Lenten season. Lent lasts for 40 days in preparation for the great feast of Easter.
