Karate grading results

The Cobras Shotokan Karate Club from Alberton recently hosted their first grading for the year.

It was a tough morning where all their senior belt karate students, who were invited to attend, were put to the test and had to demonstrate all their karate skills.

The sensei’s were very proud of the standard set for the day and the following karateka passed to their next belt levels:

Thibi Moloi (blue belt), Dario Gouveia (third junior brown belt), Samu Madonsela (third Kyu senior brown belt), Ryan Hovell-Erasmus (first red belt), Declan Strydom (third Kyu senior brown), Jaiveer Chinia (first purple belt), Bokamoso Makhene (third junior brown belt), Kieran Fish (first junior brown belt), Kendra Smith (first purple belt), Juan Crous (second red belt), Hayden Fish (first junior brown belt) and Alexcia Andrade (first purple belt).

For more information or to join the club, which has been operating in Alberton for 25 years now, contact Sensei Laurent Gaston-Bellegarde on 082 494 2704 or Sensei Nicholas Gaston-Bellegarde on 082 302 8637.
