A man was arrested on May 4 in Winchester Hills for the alleged repeated rape of a minor since May 2020 while they were staying in Glenvista.
It is alleged the suspect would come to the house when the victim was alone and repeatedly raped her.
The case is being investigated by the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit.
Acting station commander of Mondeor SAPS Lt-Col Janet Madaray applauded the members for this arrest and emphasised that the police will do anything in their power to ensure perpetrators of these crimes are put behind bars.
He also encouraged the community to report these crimes and intervene when they see someone taking advantage of a person who is not capable of giving consent.
