Marist schools launch first-ever Team Marist Champagnat Day ‘virtual’ Run

“Marist Brothers Linmeyer launched Team Marist Champagnat Day ‘virtual’ Run 2021.”

Marist Brothers Linmeyer and four other Marist schools, St David’s Marist Inanda, Sacred Heart College, St Henry’s and St Joseph’s, launched the first-ever Team Marist Champagnat Day ‘virtual’ Run 2021 on June 6.

This wonderful initiative is to unite all five of the South African Marist schools, build the Marist community and raise funds for the individual schools.

Liam Moonsamy (Grade Two) and Naliya Moonsamy (Grade PR) did their bit to raise funds.

These five schools reached out to the Marist community of students, parents, staff, alumni, friends and family at large to join the run, wherever in the world.

Participants were encouraged to register for the virtual event and complete their activity of choice in their home neighbourhood, locally or internationally, at any time from June 6 to 20.

Funds collected from the registration fee will go to each school’s chosen charity. This is also an amazing initiative to honour Marist Schools’ founder’s Feast Day, Champagnat Day.
