On July 19 the officers on patrol spotted the vehicle and set off in pursuit of it into the Meyersdal area.
The security officers called for backup and at an intersection, the vehicle was pulled over. In the vehicle were two male suspects.
Johannesburg SAPS K9 Unit arrived on the scene and assisted in searching the vehicle. The vehicle was found to have false number plates.
Upon searching the vehicle further, the officers found an electric gate motor.
The suspects were arrested for possession of the suspected stolen property and driving a vehicle with false plates and were detained at Brackendowns SAPS.
