Marist Brothers Linmyer celebrates cultural week

On September 13, Marist Brothers Linmeyer Primary School celebrated cultural week.

The theme was The Melting Pot at the End of the Rainbow, as we have such richness and diversity not only in South Africa but across the world.

Grade Five learners got involved in a variety of cultural and art tasks that represent the different cultures and language groups within South Africa.

Lessons and class activities for Grade Four to Grade Seven learners incorporated a comprehensive approach and focus on many aspects that relate to our cultures.

Grade Seven learners had the opportunity to experience the array of foods we enjoy in South Africa.

“It was a wonderful experience for learners to explore and dig deeper into the richness of our diversity. They all enjoyed it,” said Adele Piccolo, HOD: Intersen Phase.

Grade Four learners enjoyed learning about the different types of music and dances from around the world.
