Waterstone College's cricket team recently defeated Hyde Park in a cricket match.

Waterstone College’s cricket team showcased a remarkable display of skill and teamwork in their recent match against Hyde Park.

The players’ outstanding performances culminated in a resounding victory, highlighting the team’s prowess on the cricket field.

Marketing manager of Waterstone College, Magriet Payne, said the team scored 370/6 in 35 overs.

“This impressive display of batting prowess set the tone for what would be a truly exceptional match. The result was nothing short of extraordinary, with the securing a commanding victory by a staggering 266 runs.

“Several standout performances contributed to the team’s resounding victory. Taahir Mia’s innings of 157 runs was a highlight, showcasing his batting abilities. Stephan Potgieter’s contribution of 64 runs further bolstered the team’s total, while Todd Franken’s 54 runs added crucial support.

“The bowling unit, led by Gregory Ashby and Jared Damons, did not go unnoticed. Their precise bowling and strategic approach limited Hyde Park’s scoring opportunities, ultimately contributing to the team’s overwhelming success,” said Payne.
