Eight illegal immigrants arrested in South Hills

They are expected to appear in court soon.

Gauteng police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi confirmed that eight illegal immigrants were arrested on January 28 after police were alerted by community members about the group staying at a house in Reitz Street, South Hills.

She said all suspects believed to be Ethiopian nationals were found in the house and were charged with contravening the Immigration Act.
