Learners do well in SA Speech and Drama College Competition

Our Lady of Lebanon students delivered outstanding performances on the theme of Power Dynamics, earning A symbols in a fierce public speaking showdown.

Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic School showed exceptional skills and eloquence in the SA Speech and Drama College public speaking competition held on February 13 at Sir John Adamson.

Competing against formidable opponents including Sir John Adamson and two teams from Marist Linmeyer, Our Lady of Lebanon presented a compelling discourse on the intricate topic of power dynamics. The adjudicator, impressed by their thorough and confident delivery, commended the team for their insightful analysis.

According to marketing manager Melissa Roberts, the topic was both complex and relevant, requiring a nuanced understanding and adept articulation. “Despite the challenge, the speakers rose to the occasion, showing their talent, preparation, and mastery of the subject matter.

“Each member of the team contributed significantly to the success of their presentation, earning an impressive A symbol from the adjudicator.

“Blen Ramsu, Rangani Luvhengo, Molemo Litlhakanyane, and Sonali Sewraj show their skill and poise, capturing the audience’s attention and leaving a lasting impression,” said Roberts.

The school congratulates the team for their outstanding performance.
