Robertsham Primary School’s vision turns into reality

The bus was made possible through the combined efforts of the school’s proactive fundraising initiatives.

In a proud and exciting milestone, Robertsham Primary School unveiled its brand-new school bus this month.

This 36-seater bus is a safe and reliable mode of transport for educational outings, sporting events, school events, and enrichment programmes.

The bus, gleaming in white and wrapped in a giant red ribbon, was welcomed onto the school grounds during a handover ceremony attended by district officials, staff, members of the SGB, and management.

Principal Nirasha Pillay said, “This is more than just a vehicle. It is a symbol of the opportunities we want to give to our children to learn, explore, compete, and grow in a safe and structured environment.”

The acquisition of the bus is a welcome relief for the school, which currently accommodates 1 150 learners.

The bus was made possible through the school’s fundraising initiatives.

The staff and parents are confident the vehicle will serve a practical purpose and boost morale, participation, and school pride.

The SGB members expressed their gratitude and shared their vision of expanding access to more learning experiences beyond the classroom.

“This is a proud day for our school as it shows that when the staff and parents come together, big dreams can be driven forward,” said Prakash Premjit, SGB member.

Robertsham Primary continues to show that with vision, unity and determination, every learner can go further, and now they will get there in style.
