GAP College learners shine in Eisteddfod debut

The learners made a memorable first appearance, showcasing their talents and earning honours across a range of performances.

Learners from The GAP College participated in the Alberton Eisteddfod for the first time this year.

The event saw learners showcase their talents, with a school representative sharing, “Seeing them perform on stage and recognised for their abilities was a moment of joy and celebration.”

The week began with a rehearsal and showcase at the school for parents, so families could see what the learners had prepared.

Learners participated in the Eisteddfod’s categories that included choir dancing, fun dancing, choral verse and individual performances.

The learners earned nine gold certificates (80-89%), with all other entries earning diplomas (90-100%). The school was also an item winner in more than one category.

The college thanked the organisers, invigilators, teachers, parents, and learners for making the first Eisteddfod a success, marking the beginning of a new tradition for the school.
