Die Borussen impress in early season

he BVB are the early season leaders as they have ruthlessly seen off opponents.

Before the season started Borussia Dortmund split up with their coach Thomas Tuchel and saw one of last season’s top players Ousmane Dembele leave for Spanish giants Barcelona.

Before the season started many expected Die Borussen to struggle but new coach Peter Bosz and his team had other ideas.

The BVB are the early season leaders as they have ruthlessly seen off opponents. They have scored 19 goals and conceded just once in their first six matches of the campaign.

Their goal difference of 18 is the best by any club at this stage of the season in Bundesliga history.

With Gabon’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leading the charge, Dortmund has been impressive in front of goal. Last season’s Torjagerkanone winner has already found the back of the net eight times in the league this season.
Aubameyang has been prolific but Dortmund has had other goal scorers. Maximilian Philipp (four) and Christian Pulisic (two) have also scored on more than one occasion.

As great as they have been in front of goal, the Dortmund defence has also been water tight. They conceded for the first time this season in their 6-1 demolition of Borussia Monchengladbach.
Another record that stands out is their home record.

Dortmund has not lost in the league at the Signal Iduna Park since April 2015. They have gone an incredible 41 Bundesliga matches without a loss at their fortress.

Their next league opponents, Augsburg, will be glad that the BVB is travelling to them on 30 September 30. The match will be live on StarSat at 15.30pm.

Dortmund’s fierce rivals Bayern Munich will face Hertha Berlin as they look to get back to winning ways after a less than impressive start to the league campaign.

Bayern are coming off a 3-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League. This is after they squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 against Wolfsburg in their last league match.
Bayern vs Hertha will be live on StarSat on October 1.
