Successful fire tunnel run

Schoeman and De Kock completed a successful test run on their quadbike.

TEAM Schoeman and De Kock completed a successful test run on their quad bike through a short fire tunnel in the upper Carnival City parking area on November 22.

The idea is to do five runs in the coming year, with four of them at Carnival City.

Enrico Schoeman from Benoni and Andre de Kock, who hails from Alberton, will set their eyes on breaking the current Guinness World Record for riding a quad bike through a fire tunnel. They will perform the fire tunnel rides until they have reached the required distance – first at 70 metres and then 100 metres.

The team already holds the Guinness World record for riding a motorcycle through a fire tunnel, at 120 metres.

They have held that record for the past five years, despite various efforts by other stuntmen in America to beat it.

The dates of their attempts will be announced at a later stage.
