The 2018/19 Telkom Knockout round of 16 fixtures dates, venues and kick-off times, have been announced. The TKO 2018 will kick-off next week on October 20.
Fixtures will be spread over Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday. Tickets will be sold at TicketPro outlets and Spar countrywide. The Professional Soccer League (PSL) will advise on their availability in due course.
On Saturday, there will be a total of five fixtures. For the early kick-off (3.30pm), Baroka FC will host Lamontville Golden Arrows at the old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane while Free State Stars will renew cup rivalry with Telkom Knockout defending champions, Bidvest Wits at Goble Park in Bethlehem.
In the evening, Pitso Mosimane’s Mamelodi Sundowns, who have won this competition before in 2015, will be playing against last year’s runner-ups and 2012 TKO champions, Bloemfontein Celtic coached by Steve Komphela. Kick-off is at 6pm.
At 8.15pm, there will be two fixtures. At Harry Gwala Stadium, Maritzburg United will enjoy home advantage against Highlands Park.
At the same time, Orlando Pirates, another side that has tasted glory in the Telkom Knockout back in 2011, will play Chippa United at Orlando Stadium.
On Sunday, three-time TKO champions Kaizer Chiefs will be home to Black Leopards who are making their return to the Telkom Knockout competition after a number of years of absence. The match will be at FNB Stadium in Soweto at 3.30pm.
On the same day, 2014 TKO champions SuperSport United will travel to the Limpopo to face Polokwane City at 3.30pm.
The last fixture of the round of 16 will be on October 23 between AmaZulu and Cape Town City at the King Zwelithini Stadium. Kick-off is at 19.30pm.
