PPA welcomes new CEO

New CEO for PPA.

Pedal Power Association (PPA) is pleased to welcome Neil Robinson as the new chief executive officer from February 1.

Robinson’s key mandate will be to, as per the strategic intent described at the AGM in 2021, focus on the broader aspects of enabling cycling to serve the interests of all our citizens.

With over 30 years in various sectors, including the NGO and social enterprise space, Robinson brings a strong strategic development and marketing background to the role.

He also has experience in growing and developing new businesses and creating employment opportunities at the local level.

While he is keen to take on the challenge of meeting PPA’s broader mandate to have cycling recognised as a means of transport and as a sport, he remains aware of the history of PPA and the interests and values of its members.

PPA wished him well in his new position and look forward to growing PPA and increasing the awareness of cycling as a way of life for its health benefits as an enjoyable sport and the importance of making safe commuting with the necessary infrastructure, as a way of life for many South Africans.
