The second leg of the Triple Tiara is the R250 000 Wilgerbosdrift Grade1 SA Fillies Classic to be run over 1 800m and the Triple Crown World Sports Betting SA Classic at Turffontein on March 5.
Safe Passage, trained by Mike de Kock and Rain in Holland, Sean Tarry’s charge, will start in the Triple Crown and Triple Tiara on Saturday. They will be up against mostly the same field as in the first leg.
There is a supplementary entry stage on Monday with declarations closing at 11:00 on March 1. The ten-race card consists of the Grade 2 Hawaii Stakes over 1 400m and the Listed Aquanaut Handicap over 2 400m.
The final leg of the Triple Crown is the Grade 1 SA Derby over 2 450m while the final leg of the Triple Tiara is the Grade 2 SA Oaks, which will take place on April 2.
Ample parking available for spectators with racing that will start at 11:00.
