Lace up and support #Run4APeriod build-up event

The road to the 2nd Annual #Run4APeriod begins with an energetic bootcamp in Region F.

Residents are invited to lace up their takkies and join an energising morning of fitness and commnity spirit as WOMaN NPO, in partnership with Region F Aerobics Interim Committee, hosts an Aerobics Activation Bootcamp on February 28, from 07:00 to 10:00.

The event will take place at the Klipriviersberg Recreation Centre in Kibler Park, where participants can look forward to a dynamic line-up of activities including functional boxing, high-impact aerobics, creative water-bottle workouts, motivational talks and more.

Entrance is free, and community members of all fitness levels are encouraged to attend.

Donations will be welcomed, with all proceeds going towards purchasing essential sanitary products for underprivileged girls as part of the organisation’s ongoing dignity campaign.

The bootcamp forms part of the build-up to the official second Annual #Run4APeriod event hosted by WOMaN NPO, scheduled to take place in June.

The flagship event will feature a 3km fun run or walk, an aerobics marathon, a Top 8 Pool Tournament, and a raffle draw where participants stand a chance to win a pool table.

A second Aerobics Activation is planned for May as momentum builds towards the annual campaign. The organisation will also use the February activation to launch the official registration platform for #Run4APeriod, while guiding interested participants on how to register and purchase raffle tickets.

Community members, fitness enthusiasts and local organisations are encouraged to show their support- not only to improve their health, but to help restore dignity and confidence to young girls in need.
