8 THE Barnyard Theatre at Gold Reef City proudly presents Twist and Shout, exclusively on Sunday afternoons until July 29. Yes, you are in for the greatest rock ’n roll experience starring Shaky Russell. Come Rock Around the Clock to the greatest hits of the late ’50s, early ’60s era, showcasing many of its different genres and paying tribute to the best of Elvis Presley, Cliff Richard and The Shadows, The Beatles, Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison, The Platters, Ritchie Valens and more.

7-8 WINTER Fair at Nasrec Rand Show Road (entrance five and six) on July 7 and 8 from 9am to 5pm. Fun for the whole family complete with fun fair, pop up stalls, activities, food stalls, animal shows and exhibitions. NEW 8 July: Three-koppie group hike of up to 10 km through the Melville Koppies. Sets off 8.30am sharp. Park, meet and pay in the upper car park at Marks Park, Judith Rd, Emmarentia, opposite our entrance. R60 adults; R40 children — all donations used to maintain the Koppies. 2 IT is time for keen golfers and those who love having fun on the course to get their golfing buddies together for Amcare’s annual golf day. This year’s income-generating golf day will be hosted on August 2 at Reading Country Club with the format being a betterball scramble. Book your four-ball for R2 000 which will secure a golf workshop, halfway snack pack and dinner at the prize-giving. There will be a cash bar available. Carts and caddies are to be booked via the Pro Shop on 011 907 3666. There is also hole branding available on the day which is a great opportunity for businesses to create awareness. The community’s support for prizes will be most welcome.
