Murder case postponed due to unavailability of the magistrate

The case is postponed to January 19 next year.

Murder accused Kleave van Staden appeared before magistrate Vele at Booysens Magistrate’s Court on December 7.

Magistrate Habib, who is presiding over this case, was not available. However, both prosecutor Bikwa and defence attorney Munyai were present in court.

Vele said the closing arguments cannot be heard because the presiding officer was unavailable. He remanded Van Staden to custody until January 19 next year.

Van Staden is accused of murdering his wife Jamillah on January 8 last year in Forest Hill.
