#CaxtonCares: Here’s support for you, mums from Cuddlers and Witkoppen Clinic

FOURWAYS – There's no denying how much the Fourways Review team enjoys lending a hand to the community in which it serves news, and now, with the help of Cuddlers and Witkoppen Health and Welfare Centre, the team aims to help mothers in Fourways.

Straight off the back of the Fourways Review scooping the Best Community Involvement award at the Caxton Excellence Awards 2018 for one of its initiatives last year, the team is getting involved in a new project.

This time to assist mothers in the greater Fourways area.

The Witkoppen Health and Welfare Centre, Cuddlers and the Fourways Review under the banner of Caxton Cares have joined forces with an aim to lend a hand to mothers through two support sessions a month that will give tips on how to take care of young children and keep them healthy and safe.

Attendance certificates and a light lunch will follow each support group.

Murray Booth, the marketing manager at Cuddlers, explained that the company aimed to create memories with parents.

“We are the happy baby company that strives to do more – more for the community and more for parents. We cannot think of a better partner than Witkoppen Clinic for this pilot project.

“They are innovative and truly have the community’s best interest at heart, in all that they do,” said Booth.

“Cuddlers is extremely honoured to be a part of a group that aims to support and uplift parents in the Fourways community. We look forward to being a part of the bi-monthly sessions at the clinic and connecting with some amazing mothers.”

Teboho Katze, the business development manager at Witkoppen Health and Welfare Centre, said the centre relied on corporate sponsors to continue to serve the greater Fourways community. He added they were ‘extremely excited’ about the centre’s partnership with Cuddlers and the Fourways Review under the banner of Caxton Cares.

“Education with… mothers is a priority for us and this partnership will hopefully allow us to grow our support groups, widen our reach and uplift and assist parents when they need us the most,” said Katze.

The sessions will take place every two weeks, on the first and third Thursday of every month, for the next six months at the Zonkizizwe Centre at Witkoppen Health and Welfare Centre at 105 William Nicol Drive. The first session will take place on 18 April at 10.30am.

Cuddlers, the Witkoppen Health and Welfare Centre and the Fourways Review team look forward to seeing mums there.
