Six rob Glenferness house

GLENFERNESS - On 1 November, six suspects robbed a house on Lachlan Road. Property stolen was estimated to be worth R35 000.

Midrand police communications officer Constable Matome Tlamela said, “According to the complainants, they were approached by two men, one armed with a firearm. Without asking any questions, (one of) the suspects shot in the air and then pointed the firearm at the complainant and his friend. Both the victims were instructed to enter the house, where they were taken to the bedroom and tied up with cable ties.”One of the suspects was armed with a firearm and kept monitoring the victims; the suspects kept ordering the victims to look downwards and not to look at them during the robbery. After some time, the suspects left the scene, however the victims managed to untie themselves,” said Tlamela.

The suspects stole electrical appliances, including a plasma screen television, a video camera, camera, laptop and two tyres.

Tlamela said that no arrests had been made and police were investigating.
