Sunninghill mourns the loss of Mandela

The news of Madiba’s passing reached the world on Thursday night.

Kerry Mawson of Sunninghill Community said, “Today we as a community are filled with sadness at our loss. The loss of a man who united our nation and continues to do so even in death. We are so filled with thanks for being so blessed.”

Mawson added that Sunninghill Community is offering their condolences to the community, the nation and the friends and family of Nelson Mandela.

Sunninghill Community has encouraged residents to put a flower in the Madiba Forest on the corner of the K60 (Vanderbijl Avenue) and Nanyuki Road to express their love and gratitude of the great man, Nelson Mandela.
