Help to get the Lipizzaners into gear

KYALAMI - After the well-earned Christmas break the famous Lipizzaner stallions are hard at work training for their next show.

There will be no performance at the South African Lipizzaner Centre in Kyalami on Sunday 12 January, however the stallions will be training from 9am onwards and the public are invited to come and watch absolutely free of charge.

Judy Vertue of the South African Lipizzaners explained that while the training session is free of charge, they would love members of the community to stay and help with their big clean up afterwards.

The clean up includes tidying up the staff quarters, yard and paddocks. The main activities for the day will be painting, sanding, gardening, trimming trees and fixing fences.

Vertue also encouraged community members to bring along power tools like chain-saws, electric sanders and drills.

For more information or to inform the South African Lipizzaners of your attendance contact Judy Vertue.
