A women’s guide to rugby

MAGALIESSIG - Rugby deconstructed by Die Manne

Alan Committie and Robert Fridjhon are ready to talk about their love of balls – rugby balls, that is.

In their latest farce A Load of Bull, a double act of sketches, songs, the occasional limerick and varying degrees of hilarity, the intricacies of rugby are explained for the edification of the fairer sex.

There’s an exposé on the Blue Bulls, a history of rugby (and the world), gardening advice for rugby widows, make-up tips for rugby girlfriends, and a whole bunch of other what-not and what-have-yous.

From the prerequisite couch in front of the television, Die Manne will lead you on a merry run through mauls, dummies, grubbers, hakas, penalties, pills and pushovers, as well as the notorious Sin Bin in simple, clear language that even soccer players and cyclists can understand.

And then, just as you can’t catch your breath for all the laughter, they’ll take your questions and discuss any topic you choose.
