4Ways Dojo scoops up medals

FOURWAYS- 4Ways Dojo competed in Karate South Africa's all-style karate championship in Bloemfontein.

Eight provinces were represented by 1000 competitors competing in six rings with five referees each.

Competitors from 4Ways Dojo did particularly well in the competition and many were also selected for the South African national team.

Khutso Masege won a gold medal; Mbongeni Malinga and Angela Tsita both won a bronze medal each; Slade Taylor won two gold medals; Matthew Pilling won a gold medal and a silver medal; Cheyenne Barros won a gold medal and a bronze medal; Emma Wentzel and Yasmin and Sadie Ho won a silver medal each; Aimee Grefen won a silver medal and a bronze medal; Joshua Pilling won two gold medals; Khardan Ruocchio won a gold medal; Reece Baynes won two bronze medals and a silver medal; Justin Baynes won a bronze and a gold medal; Nicholas Dobson won a silver medal; Vuyo Malinga won a silver medal; Alessandro Biagioni won two silver medals and a gold medal; Silvio Biagoni won two gold medals; and Stef Biagoni won two gold medals and a bronze medal.

In total 4Ways Dojo walked away with 32 medals: 14 gold, 10 silver and 8 bronze.

4Ways Dojo congratulated the senior unison team, as well as Marius Madgwick and Silvio Biagioni for a fantastic demonstration of Team Kata. It was so well-received by the Karate South Africa delegates that it has most likely secured their position in the national Protea team for the World Karate Federation championship in Germany later this year.

This means that all the medal winners who competed in the championship in Bloemfontein will also have an opportunity to compete in the international championship in Germany.

4Ways Dojo also congratulated Alfredo Ruocchio, who was promoted to referee national kata judge B and national kumite judge B.
