According to Peter Rosema of the Douglasdale Sector 4 CPF the objective of the event is for residents to meet the CPF and police officers in their area.
Rosema explained that the awareness day would be an opportunity for people in the community to get to know each other and put names to the faces of members of the police force and CPF that they have been dealing with.
Another objective is to increase awareness of the forum and police so residents can become comfortable in communicating directly with either the police or the CPF.
The awareness day will be held on Saturday 1 March from 9am to 2pm on the corner of Witkoppen and Leslie roads in Magaliessig.
