The open day will take place at Fourways Crossing from 9am to 2pm and all residents of the area as well as visitors from other areas are welcome to join in the festivities.
Peter Rosema of the Sector 4 CPF explained that the aim of the event is to enhance the image of the Douglasdale police and build confidence within the community in both the police and the CPF. “The open day will also allow the public to build relationships and interact with the organisations in an informal and friendly way,” he said.
The open day will feature displays of police vehicles and equipment, the presence of the newly-launched youth desk, and information on crime prevention. The event will also feature child-friendly activities like face-painting.
