Spend Mandela Day in Diepsloot
KYALAMI - The Greater Kyalami Conservancy's Green Neighbourhood Project will once again lend its efforts to cleaning up Diepsloot on Mandela Day.

As 18 July approaches and community members look for a way to extend a helping hand to the community, the Green Neighbourhood Project gives the community an option.
On 18 July at 11am members of the project will meet with community members at the Diepsloot Mall, and taxis will provide transport to the clean-up site.
Mandy Collins of the project said, “Our focus this year is on water and sanitation and we want to fix 67 leaking taps in Extension 1. You may donate a tap at R40 each by sending a donation to Water and Sanitation Services Upgrading Programme. We are appealing to those with plumbing skills to assist on the day.”
Other than community members, organisations will be assisting in the clean-up.
These are Don’t Waste, WEC Projects, Bontle ke Tlhago, Water and Sanitation Services Upgrading Programme, Just Environmental Action, Diepsloot Arts and Culture Network and the Greater Kyalami Conservancy.
Collins and the conservancy’s chairperson, Kristin Kallesen said all community members were welcome to join the clean-up, and asked them to bring rubbish bags, gloves and to be prepared to get a little dirty.
