Dogs desperate for a loving home
FOURWAYS - Rescue Shelter, Four Paws is seeking loving owners for a plethora of friendly hounds.
The shelter rescues and re-homes abandoned or abused dogs and cats from Diepsloot, and elsewhere in Johannesburg. Manager Sacha Fraser finds new homes through her extensive networking and publicity effort, and handles adoptions directly, even personally assessing potential homes.
Each Four Paws adoption costs an initial fee of R400 for cats and R500 for dogs. This charge covers first vaccinations, de-worming and sterilisation, to ensure that every new pet is given a strong start.
Fraser’s efforts have met with some success with the shelter having successfully re-homed five dogs in the past two weeks. Four Paws is a pro-life organisation and no animal is euthanised to make space for other animals, therefore the shelter is permanent home to many that do not find new homes. There is never a shortage of hopeful home-seekers at this haven for the four-legged.
