Science Expo makes an impact

LONEHILL - Crawford Preparatory School pupils learn about reducing their carbon footprint at annual Science Expo.

For the Grade 7 pupils at Crawford Preparatory School, Lonehill, the annual Science Expo is one of the highlights on the calendar.

This year’s budding scientists explored the theme, Reducing Our Carbon Footprint, and they handled the challenge in style.

Pupils learnt essential scientific and life skills in completing their projects, from the data handling and scientific process that went into compiling comprehensive portfolios of their work, to the teamwork, planning, budgeting and organising needed to work together efficiently and successfully.

The projects were assessed by teachers and parents at the school, and even members of Eskom’s staff were impressed when they came to view the results of the pupils’ hard work and energy.
