Centre to host prestigious Junior Chamber International

SANDTON - Renowned for hosting acclaimed conferences from around the world, the Sandton Convention Centre is set to host the Africa & Middle East Conference of Junior Chamber International in 2016.

The centre will host the prominent conference, described as a prominent global platform for young business leaders, in partnership with the Junior Chamber International South Africa and the City of Joburg.

Dr Mati Nyazema, executive director of the centre, described hosting the conference as something both the city and the centre can be proud of.

“It’s an indication of the position that we hold as a world-class city with world-class facilities,” he said.

Furthermore, he highlighted the suitability of hosting it at the centre, as it is easily accessible and with easy access to the Gautrain.

Yoshni Singh, international sales manager for Sandton Convention Centre, echoed these sentiments, saying the centre’s location was a factor in the decision-making process.

He also added that the centre was ready to host an event of that magnitude, listing it as world-class.

“As Africa’s largest purpose-built convention and exhibition centre, the Sandton Convention Centre is looking forward to pulling out all the stops to ensure the conference in 2016 will be the best one ever,” adds Singh.

The Africa & Middle East Conference of Junior Chamber International will take place from 4 to 6 May 2016 and will see 1 000 delegates descend upon the centre.
