Couple paddles in preparation for river marathon

PUSH THROUGH: Ian Rheeder and his wife Robin join the stream of canoeists on the Klip River to prepare for the A Grade Hansa Fish River Marathon which will take place in Cradock, Eastern Cape, in October.

The couple enjoyed their river race after hibernating in winter and finished the race in 01:51:00.

The duo, who are members of the Dabulamanzi Canoe Club, used the race as the perfect opportunity to prepare for the major upcoming A Grade Hansa Fish River Marathon which takes place in October in Cradock, Eastern Cape.

The participated in the championship race paddled down Klip River from Daleside, traversing 22km through white water rapids and the technical manoeuvring sections.
