Celebrity allegedly hits young woman with bubbly
DOUGLASDALE- TV and Radio personality, Dineo Ranaka could face charges of assault for allegedly hitting a 22-year-old woman with a champagne bottle.
It is alleged that Ranaka (32) assaulted a 22-year-old woman in an upmarket restaurant while the celebrity was celebrating her birthday on 16 December last year.
According to Warrant Officer Balan Muthan, communications officer of Douglasdale Police Station, it was not specified which restaurant the assault occurred at.
He confirmed that a case had been opened at the station against Ranaka and could not reveal any more information on the case as it was under investigation.
The Sunday Sun published social media posts that are alleged to have been between Ranaka and the woman.
One of the posts, which was reportedly written by Ranaka read, “It was an ice bucket you idiot! And I would do it again! Talking smack about my kids, my children when you’re drunk…”
