WATCH: Litres of water seen streaming down Bushwillow Avenue, Fourways
FOURWAYS – It is unclear whether the litres of water seen on video streaming down was maintenance work.
Video footage on YouTube shows streams of water coming out of a pipe from Bushwillow Avenue to Richard Road in Fourways.
Joburg Water said if the purported video shows a Joburg Water vehicle, then it is a possibility of maintenance, as the valve needs to be leaked out to get it clean. However, they said their system showed there was no planned water maintenance for the area on 15 March.
The Fourways Review was then told the area falls under Randburg Depot. Attempts to get hold of them were unsuccessful. More details to follow.

It is unclear if there was a pipe burst or if it is maintenance work. The water streamed all the way down Richard Road before flowing into a drain on Pine Road.
