Service delivery to be tackled in new year for Ward 106
FOURWAYS – Service delivery and other issues in Ward 106 are set to be addressed by councillor Chris Santana.
Looking to the new year, Ward 106 councillor Chris Santana has many hopes for improvements in the community.
He mentioned the level of uncertainty faced in the last year such as the possibility that the local government elections would not take place, and the development of the new Covid-19 Omicron variant.
“We continuously find ourselves plagued by uncertainty. The new normal now deeply entrenched in our daily lives with online meetings being held within the comfort of our homes,” he said.
Santana said there are still plans within Ward 106 that are set to take place despite all the uncertainty. “In the year ahead, there are many service deliverables I wish to tackle, amongst those are crime prevention, water supply stability, potholes, and road maintenance,” he said.
“I am certain we will prevail and ensure service delivery takes precedence. The biggest win for Ward 106 last year, that left many residents both frustrated and helpless, was the completion of repairs and the reopening of the 12th Avenue Bridge.”
