67 Blankets Ambassadors all over the province got the chance to showcase their warm and colourful creations at the Local is Lekka big reveal, at Jeppe High School for Girls.
Fourways Gardens Ambassador Annie Robinson-Grealy was happy to be part of the historic moment, “This is amazing to see. All these beautiful, amazing works. We are happy to be part of this.”
Attendees were treated to a big display of locally made blankets across the Jeppe Girls’ fields, and local entertainment over some good food and drinks. After the big reveal, all the blankets are donated to different homes and charities through the 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day initiative.
