The competition this year was under the theme of ‘Chinese, Joy and Fun,’ and it was organised by the Embassy of China in South Africa. Four exceptional representatives from Crawford International Schools, namely Dreyah Naicker in Grade 6 and Mbalenhle Mabuza in Grade 7 from Crawford International Lonehill Prep, and Olamide Destiny Adelusi in Grade 6 and Mandilakhe Sidwaba in Grade 7 from Crawford International Fourways, showcased their remarkable skills and passion for Chinese language and culture.

The competition comprised two parts – firstly, a presentation or speech demonstrating the contestants’ Chinese language abilities, while the second part allowed them to exhibit their talents in traditional Chinese arts such as singing, dancing, martial arts, calligraphy, and playing musical instruments.
