Nova Pioneer Paulshof Campus’ grades 1 to 8 learners, along with their teachers engaged in a heart-warming initiative to make sandwiches for those in need and create heartfelt cards for individuals facing challenging circumstances. All items were generously donated to One Small Act of Kindness, a local charity organisation committed to making a positive impact on the community.

The day aimed to instil the importance of empathy, kindness, and social responsibility in their learners. It served as an opportunity for the school’s young learners to make a tangible difference in the lives of those less fortunate and experience the power of giving back.

Under the guidance and support of their teachers, learners from grades 1 to 8 actively participated in the sandwich-making activity. Each student contributed by making a sandwich, demonstrating their compassion and eagerness to help those in need.

The act of assembling sandwiches not only provided a hands-on learning experience but also afforded them to understand the significance of nourishing others and the impact of even small gestures of kindness.

The act of assembling sandwiches afforded learners to understand the significance of nourishing others and the impact of even small gestures of kindness.

The pre-primary learners made heartfelt cards filled with encouraging messages. These thoughtful cards aimed to brighten the day and uplift the spirits of individuals who may be going through challenging times. The learners put their artistic skills to use, crafting colourful and expressive cards that conveyed messages of hope, love, and support.

All the sandwiches and cards created by the learners were donated to One Small Act of Kindness in Randburg. The organisation, renowned for its commitment to supporting vulnerable communities, gratefully accepted the donations, which will directly benefit individuals in need.
