Charity event honours Tristan Randall’s memory, supports The Dogs Trust
The Randall family thought it would be special to host a fundraising event in honour of their son Tristan who died in a tragic accident in Fourways.
Lee-Anne Ramaltho, the founder of The Dogs Trust, an organisation that caters for canine welfare in the townships, is hosting a charity event in honour of the late Tristan Chase Randall (20).
Tristan died in a head-on collision with a truck on Cedar Road in Fourways on September 6.

Michelle Kleer, a very near and dear friend of Tristan’s devastated mother, Kirsten spoke on her behalf, saying that Tristan had a deep love for animals and adopted his dogs from The Dogs Trust where he met Ramaltho.
Tristan’s father, Wayne and his brother Jordan thought the fundraising event to commemorate what would have been Tristan’s 21st birthday on November 3 would be a special way to celebrate. The family wishes to channel their grief into something positive and create a meaningful occasion that also supports a worthy cause.

“He was very kind. We developed a very special bond after he adopted a dog from us,” said Ramaltho.
“This left his family and all who knew him devastated. He was an incredibly kind soul who treated everyone with equal love and respect. He was in the process of studying psychology, driven by a passion to help others overcome their struggles and make the world a better place. His compassion extended to animals as well.
“Our goal is to raise essential funds for vaccinations, deworming, veterinary care, blankets, food, kennels and building materials, facilitating ongoing sponsorships and education on animal care.”
The event at Walkhaven Dog Park also promises to be a meaningful and fun-filled day, with Sean Quinn taking the stage to entertain the crowd with a live performance. A vaccination pop-up and dog adoption will also be available on the day.
