Following the refreshments, the celebration included engaging ice-breaker games that fostered camaraderie among guests. Children then had the special opportunity to treat their mothers with handmade cards bearing heartfelt messages, along with wooden jewellery boxes. The event also featured a creative painting activity, allowing mothers and children to bond while expressing their love through art.
Bianca Durrant, principal of Junior Colleges Fourways, expressed her appreciation for the day’s significance. “We are so grateful to all the mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures who joined us and made this day so special. Your strength, kindness, and unconditional love are the foundation of our community. Thank you for all that you do.”
