The event featured a fashion show, entertainment, and the crowning of a model ambassador, with one lucky winner earning an opportunity to travel to Paris.
Organiser and founder of New Romantics Nadene Mark explained that the event was created to provide a platform for aspiring models who do not have opportunities to showcase their talent.

“We’ve got little models, teenagers, young adults, and mature ladies. They all want to model, and there’s not always a space for them. So, that’s why we created this event so that they can have their moment on stage.”
Beyond fashion and entertainment, the organiser said the event aimed to support local businesses and promote South African talent.

“You’re not just supporting one event, you’re supporting a dream, you’re supporting a lot of people’s dreams. We are proud to be South African, and we really want to support everything local and support our economy.”
