Dainfern College students spread warmth on Mandela Day

Dainfern College learners marked Nelson Mandela Day by taking part in the 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day ‘Secret Scarves Shhh’ campaign, spreading warmth and kindness to commuters at the Witkoppen Road taxi rank near Fourways Crossing.

The learners handed out handcrafted scarves to taxi passengers and pedestrians, joining thousands of volunteers across South Africa who dedicated their time to ensuring vulnerable community members stay warm during winter.
The initiative formed part of the nationwide campaign encouraging simple acts of compassion in honour of Nelson Mandela’s legacy, reminding recipients that even the smallest gesture can make a meaningful difference.
